Quality Improvement

KAMU's goal is to provide technical assistance and training to Kansas safety net clinics staff in order to strengthen and improve the quality of health care services for the underserved, especially as it relates to clinical outcomes, risk management and patient safety.

KAMU clinical staff strives continuously to promote sharing of best practices and improve communication between clinicians across the state in order to foster exchange of knowledge and learning opportunities.

One of the quality improvement programs KAMU has supported since 2007 is Project RevUp, which is a reengineering method of revamping health centers' work processes and the patient visit and increase productivity and quality,

Another quality improvement program supported by KAMU is the Oral Health Pilot Collaborative which goal is to promote integration of oral health and primary care and improve the oral health of children 0-5 years of age by implementing a systematic approach to healthcare quality improvement using the Care Model as a framework for quality.
